Experiences at campsite Castel Camping Le Brévedent
La Brev’maculture was created a few years ago and the name comes from a blend of ‘Brévedent’ and ‘permaculture’. Permanent crops from a vegetable garden that’s accessible to all, the concept of sharing, art and wellness. Jess and Raphaël are always happy to talk about their passion, while enjoying a drink at a bar, or a salad at the vegetable garden.
Raphael, the owner of the establishment, plays French festive songs with his band, Les Ratures. Musicians are invited to come and share the stage!
A Talk from Mrs Gurrey
An evening with Mrs Gurrey, the owner’s grandma, who will talk about the history of the campsite and the family, in the living room in the manor.
Making homemade apple juice
As soon as the apples of the apple grove are ripe, we organise festive days centred around apples. In the morning, we collect the fruit and play games. In the afternoon, we make the apple juice. The whole family participates in crushing and pressing the apples to then share the excellent Brévedent apple juice in the late afternoon for snack time!
A region with a lot to discover
Perfectly located between the historical cities of Caen, Rouen and Le Havre, you are also only a few minutes away from the coast and the white limestone cliffs. Stroll through the town of Lisieux, the capital of Auge, or along the beaches of Deauville, a luxurious destination.

Expensive but worth the extra for us. Left a very good campsite in the Loire and used this as a stopover on the way home. Lovely place to relax. Very family orientated.
The steps in the pool need to be more visible. Especially the last one down.
We loved this campsite. Staff were amazing and the whole site was very relaxed and friendly. We stayed 4 nights and our daughter loved the activities on offer. We’ll be back.
Loved this site the staff were amazing, the Friday music was a real treat especially as it fell on my birthday!
The no fuss kids activities and range was impressive
Having picked the site by chance we were certainly glad we did. We have holidayed in France for years and this site is by far and away one of the best we've been to.
The site is rural enough to give tranquillity but close enough to experience all that Normandy has to offer. The entertainment for the children is varied and really well delivered, especially the kuni kuni hunt and the pony trekking is a must.
Raphael is a man of many talents not least his band nights, I've never seen so many encores. For such an old set of buildings the wash and toilet areas leave bigger sites to shame .
Music made it, great family feel, awesome atmosphere
Not enough toilets, water on way into pool very dirty
