The campsite was great for our family holiday - with the swimming pools and the beach our water loving children were delighted. Nearby, the countryside was beautiful and the campsite was attractively laid out and with views of the sea.
Beautiful site lovely pitches really friendly and helpful our best site of our holiday
Great site for stopping off either to or from the ferry. Not only that, good walks around the area. Amenities have increased since last year (now our second but certainly not the last visit) with a pump track and peddle go carts for children. Always a very clean and well-presented site. The museum in Cherbourg is well worth a visit - allow plenty of time to take it all in. The beach and bay is also good and clean. All in all, very highly recommended site and location.
If you want to use public transport to get around, be aware that buses don't run from the site to Cherbourg outside the holiday season. Taxis are not expensive.
Fab beach, great pool
The staff are very attentive and helpful; the pitches are large and the facilities are excellent and very clean. Great location for the site and great location to get back to the ferry port.
The on site restaurant/Bar food is very very good. La Maisonette Rouge next door to the site is one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to visit and I have travelled extensively in the past; it is more expensive but more than worth the expense.
You cannot fault the site; we love the area and my only reason for (9) score is that you have to accept that this is a peninsula and therefore you have one direction to travel for off-site days. Notwithstanding this, there is still lots to do for a couple of weeks in the area.
